If you don’t know how to watch your favorite movies or series on Android Auto, we are going to help you out. When we talk about Android Auto we talk about one of the navigation software par excellence, since it is used by a huge number of users. This is because it provides an effective, accessible, and fast way to access the smartphone without losing concentration on the road.

How to watch your favorite movies or series on Android Auto?

The main drawback of this service is that Google doesn’t allow the installation of other applications. The reason why the American company chooses to limit the compatibility of these applications with its program is to ensure safety while driving. This causes the number of options you can use to be limited considerably, but there are certain methods to evade this measure and even watch movies or series that you have on your phone.

You can use the application called Local Video Player in order to send and play videos to your Android Auto screen from your phone. The operation is similar to the Chromecast option that some phones have, where you can send content from your phone to your TV directly.

To carry out the installation you will have to resort to third-party programs such as AA Store. In it, you can find all kinds of services that in normal circumstances Google would not allow you to install. Once you have downloaded the app you must open it and look for the option you want. When you find Local Video Player just click on it and tap on Install.

The process will take only a few seconds and then you must click again on “Install” to complete the process. Then, it is time to enter the software and accept the necessary permissions to access the multimedia files on your smartphone.

If you try launching the app from Android Auto in your own car you will notice that you can do absolutely nothing. This happens because you have to share the content from your phone.

All you have to do is find the video in question and click on the “Share” option as if you were sharing media with a WhatsApp chat. The difference is that you must choose the “Watch on car” option that corresponds to Local Video Player.

This way the video should start automatically without the need to even touch the screen of the car. If you want to scroll through the recording, just click on it and a timeline will appear at the bottom. This way it will be possible to watch movies and series in a car with Android Auto.
