ASUS introduced Chromebox 4, and here are its specs, price and release date.
Chromebooks are the most popular computers on the Chrome OS platform. But they are not the only ones available with Google’s system and mini-PCs are another segment that can be interesting for various cases like consumer desks, offices, education purposes or home theater living rooms.

The new ASUS Chromebox 4 has 10th generation Intel “Comet Lake” processors, that allows quite a few possibilities with 4 cores and 8 native processing threads, frequencies up to 4.9GHz and 8MB cache. Also there is a model with a modest Celeron to a Core i7-10510U.
ASUS Chromebox 4 supports up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB internal storage with M.2 SATA. It supports the latest standard, Wi-Fi6 wireless connectivity that complements the Gigabit LAN. It has a variety of USB 3.2 Gen2 and USB 2.0 ports.
ASUS Chromebox 4 includes dual HDMI output and USB Type-C which gives this mini-PC the ability to output the content to up to three displays at 4K resolution. The USB Power Delivery support allows you to charge a smartphone or other connected accessories and can also receive power from a compatible display or another device. This eliminates the need for a separate power adapter and makes it easy to maintain a tidy workspace.
We talked about the performance specs of ASUS Chromebox 4 compact but on the outside, its chassis in the square format offers the possibility of placing it anywhere on the desk or behind the monitor with its VESA support.
It comes with the same Chrome OS that is offered in the Chromebooks.

ASUS Chromebox 4 will be available in December starting at $289.
