Instagram has launched a feature that allows users to add unique captions to each slide in a carousel. Previously, all slides in a carousel shared the same caption, which limited narrative flexibility. This new functionality can be accessed via a toggle in the caption area, enabling users to create tailored captions for each image.
The rollout of this update is currently underway and may take up to a week to reach all users. This change follows a recent update that expanded the maximum number of photos in a carousel from 10 to 20, facilitating more creative presentation of images.
In addition to the caption feature, Instagram has made other recent updates, including support for Ultra HDR and Night Sight in its in-app camera for Android devices. Users can also now personalize their Instagram algorithms and reorder posts on their grid.
