Lovable and Google have announced an expanded multiyear collaboration, significantly enhancing Lovable’s use of Google Cloud. The partnership will increase Lovable’s footprint on the platform fivefold, including expanded AI capabilities, according to sources familiar with the matter. Financial details were not disclosed, but sources indicated the deal is substantial.
As part of the agreement, Lovable will gain expanded access to Anthropic’s Claude AI model and Google’s Gemini models. Google previously invested $10 billion in Anthropic in April, with the potential for an additional $30 billion if the company meets certain performance targets. At the time of the investment, Anthropic was valued at $350 billion, just prior to a $65 billion funding round that raised its valuation to nearly $1 trillion.
Lovable has recently reported over $400 million in annualized revenue, with a notable $100 million increase in just one month, while operating with a workforce of 146 employees. The company claims that more than half of Fortune 500 companies utilize its product.
The collaboration will also see Lovable’s new agent available through Google Cloud’s enterprise agent marketplace, known as the Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery. This arrangement had been indicated during Google’s major U.S. cloud conference in April. Additionally, Lovable will integrate with Wiz, Google’s largest acquisition at $32 billion, to enhance code security for both humans and agents by enabling real-time identification and remediation of security issues.
Through this partnership, Google aims to streamline enterprise procurement and billing for Lovable’s agents, facilitating the acquisition of new enterprise customers. A crucial aspect of Google’s strategy is to ensure sustained growth for both Lovable and Anthropic, as this revenue will support the planned $180 billion to $190 billion capital expenditures for the year. Google is in the process of selling a record $85 billion in equity to help finance these expenditures.
