Anthropic has confidentially submitted a draft version of its S-1 form to the Securities and Exchange Commission, indicating preparations to go public. The company has not yet set a price for its offering or finalized the number of shares to be made available. The S-1 filing is not public, delaying details regarding Anthropic’s finances.
The submission of the draft S-1 suggests that Anthropic could complete its initial public offering later this year. This potential IPO may closely follow those of SpaceX and OpenAI, both expected to go public soon. Last month, reports indicated that Anthropic was on track for its first profitable quarter ending June 30, projecting an operating profit of $559 million on revenue of $10.9 billion.
Additionally, Anthropic recently closed a substantial funding round amounting to $65 billion, which has led to a valuation of $965 billion. The company is known for its AI product Claude.
