AMD has released the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card for global purchase at a price of $549. The graphics card debuted in China last year and has now become available to a wider audience.
The RX 9070 GRE, which stands for “Golden Rabbit Edition” but is also known as the “Great Radeon Edition,” targets PC gamers looking for a budget-friendly option for 1440p gaming. It is equipped with 12GB of video memory and fully supports AMD’s Fidelity FX Super Resolution 4.1 (FSR 4.1) upscaling technology.
This model is built on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, which incorporates enhanced AI compute acceleration and advanced ray tracing capabilities. The RX 9070 GRE serves as an iterative refresh of the existing Radeon 9070, previously recognized as one of the best midrange GPUs from AMD in years.
The release of the RX 9070 GRE indicates that AMD is still focusing on the gaming market, where demand remains strong among PC gamers. In contrast, NVIDIA has shifted a significant portion of its resources towards AI, with over 90 percent of its revenue now derived from its data center segment.
