Spotify has launched a command-line tool enabling AI agents like Claude Code and OpenClaw to create and upload personal podcasts to its platform. The feature allows users to generate content such as daily digests and class notes. Spotify stated that it developed this tool in response to user requests for a way to listen to AI-generated podcasts. Reports suggest that the feature may have originated from a personal project by a Spotify engineer before being made public.
Interested users can visit Spotify’s GitHub page to access setup instructions. After completing the setup and entering their login credentials, users can describe their desired podcast and instruct the AI agent to save it to their Spotify account.
Any audio podcasts generated through this method will be accessible only to the individual user who created them.
