Anthropic announced it is doubling the rate limits for its Claude Code experience for paid subscribers. This change follows a partnership with SpaceX, which allows Anthropic to utilize xAI’s Colossus 1 data center. The increased rate limits benefit users under the Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans, enhancing their usage of the service.
The new limits double the previous five-hour maximum for these subscribers. In addition, Anthropic will eliminate limit reductions during peak hours for Pro and Max subscribers, allowing for uninterrupted access to Claude Code.
The deal with SpaceX substantially enhances Anthropic’s computational resources. The partnership provides access to the Colossus 1 data center, which reportedly has over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, including H100 and H200 models as well as GB200 accelerators.
Now equipped with additional computing power, Anthropic can improve its AI models, which offers further benefits to its Pro, Max, and other paid users. This upgrade aims to enhance the overall experience for dedicated customers utilizing Claude Code.
