Incoming CEO John Ternus expressed enthusiasm during an all-hands meeting with Apple employees, following the announcement of his leadership transition from Tim Cook. Ternus described the moment as transformative for Apple and stated, “We are about to change the world once again.”
Ternus emphasized what he called an “incredible road map” ahead, proclaiming it the most exciting time in his career to develop products and services at Apple. He highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence, asserting it will create “almost unlimited potential” and lead to “entirely new opportunities” for the company’s offerings.
The incoming CEO noted he has begun reforming internal operations through the integration of advanced AI systems. Many of Ternus’s remarks were characterized as hyperbolic, aligning with his predecessor Cook’s previous statements about the future of Apple.
Ternus aims to maintain high team morale during the leadership transition. He will unveil Apple’s first products under his leadership this fall, providing him an opportunity to validate his optimistic outlook.
“We’re going to keep unlocking possibilities,” Ternus said, addressing the future direction of Apple’s product development.
