The Redmi A7 Pro 5G has been launched in India as a budget smartphone featuring a 6.9-inch display. This model marks the first Pro iteration in the company’s A-series lineup.

The device is powered by an Octa-core Unisoc T8300 chipset and comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Customers can opt for up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, complemented by a microSD card slot for expansion. The front display is a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD, offering a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 800 nits. In terms of photography, the smartphone features a 32MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery capacity is set at 6,300mAh, supporting 15W wired and 7.5W reverse wired charging. The device operates on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and promises four years of OS updates alongside six years of security patches.

Additional specifications include an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and dual 5G SIM support. The Redmi A7 Pro 5G also incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

It is available in Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange color options. The pricing for the device starts at INR 11,499 ($125) for the 4GB/64GB variant, and INR 12,499 ($135) for the 4GB/128GB option. Sales are scheduled to begin on April 15.
