Dyson has unveiled the PencilWash, a wet floor cleaner designed as the “world’s slimmest” solution for wet cleaning, following the launch of the PencilVac vacuum last year. The device aims to provide a lighter, smaller, and more hygienic alternative to traditional bulky cleaners.

The handle measures 1.5 inches in diameter from top to bottom, and the entire unit weighs just over 2kg. Its ultra-thin profile allows the cleaner to lie almost completely flat, enabling access to tight corners and under low furniture where bulkier devices struggle. This design also facilitates easier storage in smaller homes.

The PencilWash applies only fresh water to floors and is engineered to dry surfaces quickly after cleaning. It features a high-density microfiber roller that handles both wet and dry debris in a single pass. The device lacks a traditional filter, eliminating concerns about trapped dirt or lingering odors.

A screen located above the power buttons displays the remaining battery life. When not in use, the handle docks into a charging station. Dyson has priced the PencilWash at $349, though a specific release date has not yet been announced.
