Google’s AI chatbot Gemini has surpassed 750 million monthly active users, according to the company’s fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report.
The figure marks substantial growth from 650 million monthly active users reported the previous quarter. Meta AI has nearly 500 million monthly users, while ChatGPT holds an estimated 810 million monthly active users in late 2025.
The milestone follows the launch of Gemini 3, Google’s most advanced model, which provides responses with unprecedented depth and nuance. CEO Sundar Pichai stated that Gemini 3 in AI mode was a “positive driver” for the company’s growth. He emphasized continued investment and iteration to sustain momentum.
Google introduced Google AI Plus, a plan priced at $7.99 per month, aimed at budget-conscious consumers. The offering launched too recently to impact quarterly figures. Chief business officer Philipp Schindler said during the investor call, “We are focused on a free tier and subscriptions and seeing great growth.”
Alphabet achieved $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time this quarter, attributing the result to expansion in its AI division amid rising demand. Google also unveiled Ironwood, the latest generation of its TPU AI accelerator chip, positioning it to compete with Nvidia.
