Microsoft has made the Xbox app available on all Arm-based Windows 11 PCs, following a December 2025 update to its Prism emulator that introduced AVX and AVX2 support for x86 and x64 app translation.

Windows on Arm users can now purchase, download, and stream PC games via the Xbox app. Microsoft confirmed that more than 85 percent of the Game Pass catalog is compatible with Arm PCs. The platform supports anti-cheat software, including Epic’s Easy Anti Cheat, providing access to a broad selection of online multiplayer games.

Microsoft has developed Windows on Arm for several years, reinforcing this effort with its own Arm-based hardware and the 2024 launch of the Copilot+ PC program. Many Copilot+ PCs incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, with the latest generation announced in September 2025. While Microsoft’s handheld initiatives have focused on AMD chips, expanded Arm support and Qualcomm’s statements indicate a potential announcement for an Arm-based Windows 11 handheld device.
