Paramount+ implemented its first price increase since 2024 on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The change raises monthly basic and premium subscriptions by $1 each. Annual plans saw larger hikes, with the basic annual subscription now at $90 and the premium annual at $140. The platform also ended its free trial for new subscribers on the same day.
Paramount announced the price adjustments in November 2025 during its Q3 2025 earnings report. The updates coincide with upcoming content, including the first season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and the platform’s debut UFC event, UFC 324, scheduled for January 24, 2026. Viewers can access the full UFC fight schedule on the Paramount+ website.
Previously, major UFC fights operated on a pay-per-view model available only through ESPN+. That service has transitioned to ESPN Unlimited. Paramount+ now streams select UFC fights live, with on-demand replays available after events conclude. Both basic and premium tiers provide access to live UFC fights in 2026 and subsequent on-demand content.
For subscribers planning to watch multiple UFC events in 2026, annual plans offer savings compared to monthly billing at the new rates. The annual options lock in pricing for the year, despite the recent increases.
New users lost the direct Paramount+ free trial, but alternatives remain. Walmart+ subscriptions include Paramount+ Essentials with a 30-day free trial for new Walmart+ members. The Walmart+ bundle costs $98 annually after the trial and provides additional benefits.
Amazon Prime Video users can add Paramount+ as a channel with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, the monthly Paramount+ fee integrates into the Prime bill.
These changes took effect as the service prepares for expanded sports programming alongside its existing library. The price hike applies to U.S. memberships, with all pricing details available on the Paramount+ site.
