Apple’s services achieved a record-breaking year in 2025, according to senior vice president Eddy Cue in a company blog post.

The App Store averaged 850 million weekly users in 2025, up from 813 million in 2024. Apple Pay recorded more than $100 billion in merchant sales during the year. Apple TV saw a 36% month-over-month increase in engagement, while Apple Music reached its highest levels ever for listenership and new-subscriber growth.

Apple has paid developers a cumulative $550 billion since launching the App Store in 2008. This marks growth from prior figures: $260 billion as of 2021 and $200 billion in 2020. The App Store typically charges a 30% commission on in-app purchases, reduced to 15% for developers earning under $1 million annually. This commission structure has faced regulatory scrutiny internationally for alleged monopolistic practices.

Apple TV set a new viewership record in December 2025. New titles included “Pluribus” and “The Studio,” with “Severance” maintaining strong performance. The service secured streaming deals with Major League Soccer and Formula 1. Apple Studios’ film “F1” became the company’s highest-grossing movie to date and the top earner in Brad Pitt’s career.
