The Xiaomi 17 Ultra, expected to launch in early 2026, has reportedly received approval from a Chinese regulatory body for direct satellite connectivity. According to the listing, the device will support the Tiantong-1 and Beidou satellite networks for calls and messages. The regulatory filing also reveals that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support, a new addition for the company’s flagship phones.

An earlier leak also indicated the handset would feature a slightly upgraded camera setup. The model number in the approval is 25128PNA1C, which is different from a model spotted in September. This discrepancy suggests the device may be a China-only variant with satellite support, or that two versions of the phone will be released. It is too early for definitive details.
