Apple is preparing to release iOS 26.0.2, the second bug-fix update for the operating system which launched about a month ago. Evidence of the update was seen in analytics logs, indicating that Apple engineers are testing it internally. This activity typically signals an imminent release, with expectations for it to become available within the next one to two weeks.
While specific details have not been released, the update is anticipated to include a combination of bug fixes, security patches, and performance improvements. Fixes may also address issues reported by users related to the “Liquid Glass” redesign. This release follows last month’s iOS 26.0.1 update, which resolved several bugs specific to the iPhone 17.
In parallel, Apple is developing iOS 26.1. This more significant update is currently available to beta testers and is projected for release by the end of the month. One of its notable new features is a swipe gesture in Apple Music.
