Oppo has announced the A6 Pro, a durable smartphone designed for demanding conditions. The device boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, signifying its resistance to water and dust. According to Oppo, the A6 Pro can withstand 8,000 KPa of hot water pressure and remain submerged in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes, even allowing operation with wet or oily hands.

Durability is a key feature, with the A6 Pro capable of surviving a 2.5-meter drop and enduring continuous 1.5-meter drops. It can also withstand up to 1,830 drops from a height of 0.5 meters. This robustness is attributed to an aviation-grade aluminum frame and Crystal Shield glass, which provides 160% better drop resistance compared to previous models.

Signal strength is enhanced through a 36-degree surround antenna, named Shanhai RF Antenna, integrated into the phone’s frame. This design improves low-frequency transmission by 200% and automatically switches to the optimal network when lag is detected.

Internally, the A6 Pro is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It features a 7,000 mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging. Oppo claims the battery retains 80% of its capacity after 1,830 charging cycles and can charge at temperatures as low as -20°C, maintaining fast charging between 0°C and 43°C.

The camera setup includes a 50MP f/1.8 wide-angle rear lens and a 2MP depth sensor, along with a 16MP f/2.4 front-facing camera. The device sports a 6.57-inch 2372×1080 px OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits.

The Oppo A6 Pro is available in Gold, Blue, and Black Jade colors, with four storage configurations: 8/256GB (CNY 1,799), 12/256GB (CNY 1,999), 16/256GB (CNY 2,199), and 16/512GB (CNY 2,499). Pre-orders are currently open, with shipments scheduled to begin on September 12.
