GameSir has released GameHub 5.0, a major update to its app, now featuring full Steam support, including cloud saves and online play. This enhancement enables users to seamlessly synchronize game progress across Android devices and the Steam Deck.
The update is optimized for Hollow Knight: Silksong and introduces an upgraded controller experience. New features include immersive vibration, adaptive trigger feedback, and instant hot-swaps. GameSir has also implemented a native rendering mode designed to provide more stable frame rates, reduced latency, and smoother performance.
Early user feedback on GameHub 5.0 has been varied. While some users report successful Steam cloud save synchronization, others have experienced difficulties when switching between devices like the Steam Deck. A suggested solution involves disabling the Steam client’s “lightweight” mode to resolve synchronization issues.
The update also integrates Steam ecosystem features, such as achievement tracking and playtime counters. According to one user, these features now function correctly within the app.
Several users have reported significant performance improvements following the update. One user noted a substantial increase in frame rates in GTA V, stating, “Just booted up GTA V again and went from 30fps average to 56-60. What black magic is this?”
Overall, GameHub 5.0 appears to be a substantial update that is attracting previously hesitant users to the streaming application.
