Sony has streamlined the PlayStation Store refund process, eliminating the need for users to interact with a support chatbot. The update allows customers to request refunds directly through the PlayStation website or mobile app.

To initiate a refund, users can access their transaction history by selecting the three dots in the top right corner of the PlayStation Store. From there, they can choose the relevant purchase and submit a refund request. Previously, this process required navigating a chatbot, adding friction to the experience.

The standard refund requirements remain in place: requests must be made within 14 days of purchase, and the product cannot have been downloaded or played. However, these conditions can be bypassed if the product is faulty.

This update arrives alongside other improvements to the PS Plus store, including the addition of accessibility options and support for Apple Pay.
