Google has updated NotebookLM’s Video Overviews feature to support 80 languages, including French, German, Spanish, and Japanese, according to an announcement made on Monday. This expansion aims to cater to NotebookLM’s global user base.

Launched last month, Video Overviews enable users to transform notes, PDFs, and images into video presentations. Initially, this feature was limited to English. The update now extends the functionality to numerous other languages, enabling non-English speakers to leverage visual summaries in their preferred language.

In addition to the video enhancements, Audio Overviews are also receiving an upgrade. Non-English audio summaries have been enhanced to provide more detailed information. Previously, the full version was only available in English; now, users can access more comprehensive audio summaries in over 80 languages. The option for shorter, highlight-focused overviews will remain available.

These updates are designed to better serve NotebookLM’s diverse, international audience by providing learning resources in multiple languages through both video and audio formats.

The updates are effective starting today, with a global rollout scheduled over the next week, making these enhanced features accessible to all users.
