Samsung is reportedly in the development stages of its next flagship tablet offering, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Recent filings suggest that this upcoming device could mark a significant change for Samsung’s premium tablet lineup, primarily through the inclusion of a larger battery. If the regulatory information is accurate, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is poised to feature a battery with a rated capacity of 11,374 mAh.
While the rated capacity is the figure used in official compliance documents, the number typically advertised by manufacturers is the “typical” capacity. Based on the filing, the typical capacity of the S11 Ultra’s battery is expected to fall within the range of 11,700 mAh to 11,900 mAh. This represents a notable, though not massive, increase compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
This potential battery size boost is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first instance of Samsung increasing the battery capacity within its “Ultra” branded tablet series. Both the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra maintained the same typical battery capacity of 11,200 mAh. For users who rely heavily on their tablets for extended periods, even a modest increase in battery life could translate to a more significant functional improvement.
Samsung has not yet made any official announcements regarding the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, including its specifications, features, or launch timeline. Industry observers are looking to past release patterns to predict when the new tablet might be unveiled. Following the timeline of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, which was announced around September and released in October, there is speculation that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra could follow a similar schedule, potentially being announced in September and becoming available in October.
