Samsung has announced its 2025 lineup for Frame TVs, led by the new Frame Pro, a 4K QLED screen that displays artwork when turned “off” and features a new Neo QLED display.

The Frame TV series is unique in the world of television sets, displaying a rotating collection of paintings “with highly realistic color value” when not in use. The series has proven popular, with other companies creating similar displays.

The Frame Pro introduces several changes, mainly its Neo QLED display, which Samsung claims will “boost brightness and [improve] contrast.” The TV will be available in three sizes: 65, 75, and 85 inches, all with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate to ensure smooth video playback.

This upgrade addresses previous criticism regarding the image quality of older Frame TV models. The switch to a Mini LED array improves the portrayal of subjects when not in Art Mode, as noted by ZDNET’s Kerry Wan after seeing the set in person at CES earlier this year.

The Frame Pro is supported by Samsung’s Vision AI platform, enabling various features. Live Translate provides “real-time subtitle [translations] of live broadcasts.” Click to Search can instantly identify on-screen objects and provide real-time information, similar to Circle to Search.

Other AI capabilities include Samsung Food, which recognizes food on screen and provides recipes or ordering options, and the Generative Wallpaper tool, allowing owners to create custom images via generative AI.

Additional notable features of the Frame Pro include a UL-certified matte screen to minimize glare, access to the Samsung Art Store to purchase over 3,000 art pieces, and Home Insight for safety notifications on your phone.

The TV is packaged with a Wireless One Connect Box, allowing users to pair entertainment devices like video game consoles and set-top boxes wirelessly, improving setup ease.

Preorders are live for the Frame Pro, with prices starting at $2,199 for the 65-inch TV, $3,199 for the 75-inch, and $4,299 for the 85-inch model. The new generation of standard Frame TVs is also available for preorder, priced from $899 for the 43-inch size to $1,799 for the 65-inch.
