Realme’s upcoming GT 7 smartphone, confirmed to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC, may have been spotted on Chinese certification websites ahead of its expected launch in China later in April 2025.

Realme officially announced that its forthcoming Realme GT 7 smartphone will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC. The device is anticipated to launch in the Chinese market later in April 2025.

Prior to the official launch, a Realme device bearing the model number RMX6688 has been sighted on China’s 3C and Network Access License (NAL) certification websites. Speculation suggests that this mysterious device could indeed be the upcoming Realme GT 7 smartphone.

Information gleaned from the 3C database indicates that the RMX6688 device underwent testing using a VCBAOBCH power adapter. This adapter is confirmed to support 100W fast charging for the device.

Details from the NAL database reveal that the device will support NR SA/TD-LTE/LTE FDD/WCDMA/GSM standards, ensuring broad compatibility with various network technologies. The device will also feature 5G connectivity. The NAL database confirms that the device will operate as a dual SIM dual standby device.

Regarding expected specifications, the Realme GT 7 is rumored to feature a BOE OLED 1.5K display, boasting a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Leaks suggest the phone is expected to have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

Powering the device is expected to be a robust battery with a capacity of 7000 mAh or greater. The software is tipped tp be Realme UI 6. The phone is anticipated to arrive with an IP69 rating, which would provide a high degree of protection against dust and water ingress. The smartphone might incorporate a plastic middle frame and maintain a thickness of 8.3mm, with a total weight under 205g.
