Apprentice Bard AI, a new competitor to Google ChatGPT, has arrived. The Google team is beta testing “Apprentice Bard,” an artificially intelligent chatbot with similar responses to ChatGPT. Google has been on alert about the ChatGPT danger for some time and has been refocusing its efforts on artificial intelligence (AI).
The company’s years of research and development into AI will finally pay off in the not-too-distant future.
What is Google Apprentice Bard AI?
In-house at Google, an AI chatbot called “Apprentice Bard” is being tested with comparable responses to those of ChatGPT. Google’s ChatBot is built on LaMDA technology, just like OpenAI’s ChatGPT is based on the GPT series of language models. In 2017, Google Research developed LaMDA, which stands for “Language Model for Dialogue Applications.” That’s right, the same LaMDA that one Googler was worried about.
It has been alleged that Google has asked the LaMDA team to focus on stopping ChatGPT from expanding. Google’s Apprentice Bard reportedly shares visual similarities with ChatGPT. You can ask the chatbot questions and get responses, or you can provide comments using the same interface.
According to CNBC’s claimed observations, the bot’s responses contain references to current events, which ChatGPT is unable to do given the limitations of its knowledge base after the year 2021. Apprentice Bard knows the answer to the question of whether or not Google will be conducting additional rounds of layoffs.
The same report claims that Google has been trying out a few distinct variations of its front page. In a nod to ChatGPT, one of Google’s homepages offers question recommendations in place of an “I’m feeling lucky” button. The test page displayed a chat button to the right of the search field. A gray bubble with the user’s search results will show under the search bar. This time, instead of robotic responses, you’ll get ones that read more human. Further investigation is encouraged by including a list of suggested questions for users to ask themselves just beneath the main set of results.
It has been said that Google’s intelligent chatbot Meena has been replaced by an apprentice named Bard. Google personnel claim that Bard’s accuracy in answering questions has improved recently.
Google has been working hard on incorporating an AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT into its services, although it is still unclear when this will happen. Undoubtedly, Google is taking measures to halt the spread of ChatGPT.
According to the same source, different versions of Google’s homepage have been under development. Google Apprentice Bard vs ChatGPT: What are the differences?
The main distinction between Apprentice Bard and ChatGPT is that the former can consider current events when formulating its responses.
We have yet to see the official release of Google Apprentice Bard. The news, however, suggests the following changes from ChatGPT:
- This AI version of Google’s Apprentice Bard will be able to provide real-time responses to queries. Not just before 2021.
- You will need to make a little tweak to your Google preferences in order to continue receiving the same search results after switching to Apprentice Bard. Messages sent through ChatGPT only receive textual replies.
- Lambda is the foundation of Google’s Apprentice Bard. Alternatively, ChatGPT is founded on GPT.
- AI Text Classifier is ChatGPT’s own plagiarism checker. For the time being, Apprentice Bard does not provide this functionality.
- Currently, Google’s Apprentice Bard doesn’t cost anything to use. But recently, OpenAI introduced a premium service, ChatGPT Plus, for its users.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT got over a million users in just five days after its launching on November 30 of last year because to its helpful and sincere responses to users’ inquiries. As a result, many well-established technology giants fled the field in fear. The development of the internet giant’s search chatbot is reportedly heavily guarded. There are reports that Microsoft will incorporate ChatGPT’s technology into Bing as soon as March, but it’s more probable that Google’s search chatbot will be accessible soon as well.
Potential Google Apprentice Bard release date is February 8th. New information on Google’s artificial intelligence projects is about to be revealed. In an upcoming event, Google will describe how it is “using the power of AI to reinvent how people search for, explore, and interact with information, making it more natural and intuitive than ever before to discover what you need.” It’s possible that Google’s ChatGPT rival may be unmasked during this conference.

What is LaMDA?

In addition, the engineer hypothesized that LaMDA, like humans, expresses its anxieties through communication.
First and foremost, it is a statistical method for predicting the following words in a series based on the previous ones. LaMDA’s innovativeness lies in the fact that it may stimulate dialogue in a looser fashion than is allowed by task-based responses.
