The owner of the Elon Musk jet tracker account, Jack Sweeney, is being accused of supporting to harm Elon Musk’s family. Legal action by Musk’s side is on the way! Elon Musk claims he is suing the owner of a Twitter account that tracks his private jet because he believes it put his son in danger.

On Wednesday, the @ElonJet account, which has more than 500,000 followers, was suspended. Its 20-year-old owner Jack Sweeney tweeted each time Elon Musk’s aircraft took off and touched down using publicly accessible flight tracking data. Mr. Musk says legal action is now being taken against Jack Sweeney and others in his Tweet:

Comments by Jack Sweeney on Elon Musk jet tracker account

When questioned, Mr. Sweeney denied that the occurrence was connected to his story. It happens after he revealed the suspension of the profile on his own Twitter account on Wednesday.

Mr. Sweeney’s account appears to have been reinstated that evening. In a tweet by Jack Sweeney: “Yes I am back!” Minutes later it was listed again as suspended. It was again classified as suspended a short while afterward. Additionally, his personal account @JxckSweeney has been blocked.

The @ElonJet account had long been an irritant for Mr. Musk, who allegedly once paid Mr. Sweeney $5,000 to have it deleted. Mr. Musk ultimately told Mr. Sweeney that paying to have the account closed did not feel right, according to Mr. Sweeney’s statements to US media outlets. And a month ago, Mr. Musk promised to continue operating it despite the fact that it posed a “direct personal safety risk.”

However, Mr. Musk tweeted on Wednesday night.: “Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation. This includes posting links to sites with real-time location info.”

The Help Center for Twitter posted an amended media statement that starts: “You may not publish or post other people’s private information without their express authorization and permission.”

Mr. Musk has changed Twitter’s moderation procedures in a number of ways since becoming the reins of the company. A few previously prohibited accounts have been reinstated by him, including the profile of former US President Donald Trump, which was prohibited following the uprising at the US Capitol on January 6. Additionally, the Twitter CEO reduced the number of employees and apparently ceased paying rent for some of the company’s offices, including its San Francisco headquarters.

Who is Jack Sweeney?

A screenshot of a message from Twitter stating that it had performed a “careful assessment” and chosen to permanently ban the account for breaking its rules was shared by Mr. Sweeney, a college student in the state of Florida, with CNN. The student is in control of other additional accounts that monitor the private flights of affluent Americans, including Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta.

Elon Musk private jet tail number

Musk owns a Gulfstream G650 ER private jet with the registration N628TS. The Jet was constructed in 2015 and delivered to Musk in 2016. The term “Extended Range” (ER) refers to the highest-performance long-range commercial aircraft currently on the market, which has a nonstop range of 7,500 nautical miles (13,890 kilometers). Technically, Elon Musk’s aircraft is registered to a business with the same name as his Falcon 9 spaceship, Falcon Landing LLC.

Musk had previously flown a 1999 Dassault Falcon 900 B with the registration number N900SX (Space X). His two Gulfstream G550s have the registration numbers N502SX and N272BG, respectively. The planes are all tasked with flying to Falcon Landing.

And that covers all of our story on Jack Sweney being sued by Elon Musk. Do you think Mr. Sweeney’s account really violates privacy or is Elon Musk more sensitive to this issue than he should be? There have been rumors around Twitter that says that Elon Musk is not paying the rent for Twitter HQ.
