Apple’s Far Out event kicked off and the Cupertino firm introduced the brand new iPhone 14 models. The new iPhone 14 Plus, which has a larger screen, and its big siblings, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, have all been officially revealed by Apple. Due to the winning mix of the Apple ecosystem, a constrained size, the lowest price among the new iPhones, and features from the most recent generation, we still have a smartphone that wants to become a true bestseller.

Here, we go over all the features and specifications of the iPhone 14, a smartphone that still has the recognizable 6.1-inch screen, an endless Lightning connection, and the renowned Apple A15 Bionic chipset. The new smartphone has a better battery, camera, and design, but the distinction from the Pro models is becoming more apparent.

The appearance and feel of the iPhone 14 remain unchanged. The regular model will retain the significant distinguishing feature of the iPhone identity of recent years, unlike the Pro models, which have replaced the notch with holes in the screen.

The iPhone 14 is extremely similar to the iPhone 13 in terms of design, with a diagonal of 6.1-inches and a small body that is IP68 water resistant. The OLED Super Retina XDR screen offers increased brightness while keeping the same resolution as the one from the previous year.

iPhone 14 is here: Specs, price and release date The SoC is another notable distinction from its siblings. Apple chooses to use a different processor in the base model compared to the Pro for the first time. As a result, the iPhone 14 chooses an A15 Bionic model with six cores and a 15% quicker five-core GPU, while the Pro adds the latest Apple A16 Bionic.

The iPhone 14 once again has two sensors for taking pictures. We have a 12MP primary sensor with “Sensor Shift” optical picture stabilization and a 12MP secondary sensor for wide-angle photography. Apple also includes night mode, cinematic video mode, and 4K video recording with Dolby Vision.

Apple claims that the inclusion of a bigger sensor has enhanced night photography by 49%. There is a new “Action” mode for better stabilization with the new iPhone 14. Additionally enhanced Deep Fusion processing promises better color processing outcomes. First time autofocus is available on the front camera.

iPhone 14 is here: Specs, price and release date Apple does not provide battery specifications, but in this part they have also claimed enhancements to extend autonomy over the iPhone 13 by several hours, resulting in a “all day” battery. Once again, Apple chooses to stick with the Lightning connection for its flagship smartphone at the expense of a USB-C port that never materializes on the iPhone.

We will get iOS 16, which is a sizable update to its mobile operating system, for software. At the connectivity level, we currently have WiFi 6 and 5G. The iPhone 14 will be available to US customers without a physical SIM card. European models will still have SIM cards, though. The first iPhone model to offer cellular connectivity is the iPhone 14, however it is only available in the US and Canada for now.
