Spike, the impressive email client that wants to be much more than just a conventional email inbox, continues to add features to become an all-in-one work center, with the launch of the new video meeting feature.
In this way, Spike goes a step further to ensure that users have everything they need in a single platform instead of having to switch between different independent applications, constantly interrupting the workflow they need to carry out.
With its new feature, which is largely geared towards the growing hybrid work model, users will not need to install another application or browser plug-in, and will not even need to leave the Spike application, being able to send messages to make audio and video calls, combining all possible forms of communication on a single platform.
As noted in today’s announcement:
‘Our truly unified workspace allows users to switch seamlessly between email, chat, voice messaging and video conferencing in a single window, making it an enjoyable and efficient workflow experience.

They also note that video meetings can be joined by anyone who has been invited, regardless of whether or not they are from the company or organization, or even use the application or not, as they can access it from any modern web browser.
Attendees, if they wish, can turn off the camera if you don’t want to see their faces on screen, being one of many privacy-oriented features. This is a feature that is currently coming to both desktop and mobile platforms, so you will need to have the latest version of the app on the platforms you use daily.
And if the arrival of video meetings was not enough, they promise that by the end of the year there will be more surprises, so we will have to be attentive to what they are going to announce when the time comes.
Those interested can find out more in the small FAQ section they have published next to the official announcement.
If you haven’t used Spike yet, you can always start using it on a personal level through the free level available.
