The new Call of Duty game will be called “Black Ops: Cold War” according to two insiders

The British website Eurogamer has confirmed by “own sources” that the 2020 Call of Duty title will be called “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War”.

The Call of Duty this year will be called Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War , as reported by two insiders specialized in war saga of Activision. During the last months we have known numerous details of this title, although all of them from unofficial sources; therefore, they must be taken with skepticism.

Although a few months ago it was rumored that the 2020 CoD would be called Call of Duty: Vietnam , it seems that will not be the case. The insider @Okami13_ has shared a cover on Twitter, which is obviously a montage, but with which he ensures that the name of the subsaga Black Ops will be in the new game.

A Youtuber known for the information advances of the saga, TheGamingRevolution, has published a video supporting the information of @Okami13_. It is the same insider who in mid-April assured that the new Call of Duty would carry the name Call of Duty: Vietnam, without explicit mention of Black Ops .

Russian messages and warheads are found in CoD: Warzone

The same user points out that a secret recently discovered in the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone is a teaser or preview of the new CoD. With the latest game update the bunkers scattered across the map have been opened, and the phones that can be found in the office complexes have started ringing.

When using them, a message appears in Russian in which can be read as: “To all forces, the base has been captured, change the encryption! Immediately! Roger! They are approaching!” According to TheGamingRevolution, that message, coupled with the fact that nuclear warheads have been found in bunkers, points to the new CoD being developed in the Cold War.

This Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War , of course, is not officially confirmed by Activision or Treyarch (it also has collaboration in the development of Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games), but the publisher has assured that there will be a new CoD this year. . The brand usually presents the titles of this saga in late May.
