Whoop will offer on-demand video consultations with licensed clinicians within its app starting this summer for users in the US. The company made the announcement on Friday, revealing that the new service will include support for Electronic Health Record (EHR) syncing, enabling easy access to medical histories for both users and clinicians.

“Unlike traditional healthcare experiences that rely on brief, episodic snapshots, these consultations begin with a comprehensive understanding of the member’s health, powered by months of continuous data and, when available, bloodwork and medical history,” Whoop said in a press release. The company has not disclosed pricing for the video consultation service.

In addition to consultations, Whoop will introduce new AI features in the app, including My Memory, allowing users to customize the personal context for their coaching, and Proactive Check-Ins, which will offer training and recovery recommendations based on individual life circumstances. This announcement follows Google’s introduction of the new Fitbit Air, a screenless fitness wearable similar to Whoop’s device.
