Google is expanding its AI-powered conversational search feature, Search Live, globally to all languages and locations where AI Mode is available.

This expansion provides over 200 countries and territories with access to the feature, which allows users to receive real-time assistance by pointing their phone camera at objects and engaging in back-and-forth conversations based on visual context.

The Search Live feature, initially launched in July 2025, was previously restricted to the U.S. and India.

Google’s new audio and voice model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, facilitates this global rollout, enabling more natural and intuitive conversations.

Users can access Search Live through the Google app on Android or iOS by tapping the Live icon beneath the Search bar, allowing them to ask questions verbally and receive audio responses.

The company stated in a blog post that Search Live is designed for situations requiring real-time help where typing is impractical, such as receiving visual context-based suggestions for tasks like installing a shelving unit.

Users can also engage Search Live from Google Lens by selecting the “Live” option when their camera is active.

Additionally, Google announced the expansion of Google Translate’s “Live Translate” feature to iOS and more countries, including Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand.

This means Android and iOS users can now access real-time translations in over 70 languages through any pair of headphones.
