Oppo has joined the Quick Share initiative, enabling its devices to interoperate directly with Apple’s AirDrop feature for file transfers.
This integration will allow Oppo and Apple device users to share files across platforms without proprietary applications, enhancing connectivity between the Android and iOS ecosystems.
The Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones will receive a software update later this month to enable the Quick Share interconnection. The upcoming Find X9 Ultra will also support the feature.
Oppo stated users can “conveniently and securely transfer files between Oppo smartphones and iOS, iPadOS and macOS devices, improving cross-platform interoperability.”
The company confirmed this feature was developed collaboratively with Google and MediaTek.
Oppo previously used its O+Connect application for file sharing with iPhones, which required a third-party app installation on the iOS device.
