Apple has partnered with IMAX to broadcast five Formula 1 races from the 2026 season live in select US theaters. The selected events include the Miami Grand Prix on May 3, the Monaco Grand Prix on June 7, the British Grand Prix on July 5, the Italian Grand Prix on September 6, and the United States Grand Prix on October 25.
This agreement follows Apple’s acquisition of a five-year deal for US broadcast rights to Formula 1 last fall. Apple has already launched a dedicated Formula 1 channel on Apple TV ahead of the upcoming season. Additionally, Apple holds the rights to a Formula 1 feature film that generated over $630 million in global box office revenue, with some IMAX screenings contributing to this total. It remains unclear if IMAX will continue hosting live Formula 1 races at its theaters in future years.
