Bluesky has rolled out a drafts feature, enabling users to save unfinished posts. Users access drafts by opening the new post composer and tapping the Drafts button in the top-right corner. This update aligns Bluesky with competitors X and Threads, both of which have offered drafts for some time.

The feature launch follows Bluesky’s recent roadmap announcement. The company plans to improve its algorithmic Discover feed, enhance follow recommendations, and make the app feel more real-time. Bluesky also stated it needs to prioritize basic features.
Despite growth, Bluesky lacks some core functions available on rivals, including private accounts and support for longer videos. The platform opened to the public in early 2024 and has reached over 42 million users, based on data from its developer API.
