TikTok settled a high-profile lawsuit on Monday evening that alleges social media companies intentionally design addictive products, causing harm to users. Snap settled the same case the previous week. Meta and YouTube, the remaining defendants, head to trial with jury selection set to begin Tuesday.

The lawsuit centers on a 19-year-old plaintiff identified only as K.G.M. It represents the first of many similar legal challenges against social platforms. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and YouTube CEO Neal Mohan are expected to testify.

Neither TikTok nor Snap admitted to the allegations in their out-of-court agreements with the plaintiff. Settlement terms remain undisclosed.
