Google has launched Me Meme, a new meme generator in Google Photos that creates personalized memes using a synthetic version of the user.

The feature allows users to select from various templates or upload their own funny picture as the background. Google describes Me Meme as “a simple way to explore with your photos and create content that’s ready to share with friends and family.”

Me Meme is not available to all users yet. A Google representative stated it will roll out to Android and iOS users over the coming weeks.

To access it once live, open the Google Photos app, tap Create at the bottom of the screen, and select Me Meme. Users then choose a template and add a reference photo, with an option to regenerate the meme if unsatisfied.

Google recommends well-lit, focused, front-facing portrait photos for optimal results. The company notes that Me Meme remains experimental, so generated images may not perfectly match the original photo.
