Today, we are going to be covering the new Sony InZone M9 monitor which is on its way, and its specifications, so you can decide if it is worth the price.

Sony InZone M9 monitor specifications

The $899 Sony InZone M9 monitor, designed for PC but with specifications to fully exploit the PS5 and Xbox Series X, is the most expensive item in the group. It is a 27-inch 4K IPS gaming monitor with virtually every feature a gamer could want, excluding an OLED panel of course, and was designed to match the design of the PS5.

It has a 144Hz refresh rate, which is unusual for a 4K panel, a 1ms reaction time, and variable refresh rate (VRR), which works with both consoles and Nvidia GPUs that support G-Sync, as well as DisplayPort and HDMI 2.1 connectors.

Full-array local dimming with 96 zones and DisplayHDR 600 are also characteristics of the M9 that enable brighter highlights, deeper blacks, and the ability to blend the two without a lot of haloing. Some unique characteristics of this monitor (which also came from high-end Bravia TVs) include auto HDR tone mapping, which when connected to a PS5 automatically detects the M9 and purports to maximize the display’s HDR output. There is also an auto genre image mode that may change from low-latency to cinema mode when you start a Blu-ray or video streaming service, and back again when you start playing games.

Sony also has you covered if you’re searching for a new gaming headset. The $299 H9 is for individuals who want it all. It has active noise cancellation, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connection, spatial audio capabilities, and the same synthetic leather as Sony’s recently released WH-1000XM5 headphones. The H7 is a less expensive alternative. For $229, it foregoes the H9’s ANC and “soft fit” leather features.

The H7 will also have longer battery life. Sony says that its new mid-tier headphones can be used for 40 hours, compared to the H9. Finally, the $99 H3 may be connected to your PC or PS5 by a 3.5mm headphone jack or cable USB adaptor. All three variants will be available this summer from Sony.
