The new FIFA game is coming!

The new FIFA game is on the way. The latest word from the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) is that there are already “a few new non-simulation games” in the pipeline for release later this year. In 2022, EA Sports FIFA will become a new brand for the game. The name of the series will be changed to EA Sports FC in the years following.

The new FIFA game: What does Take Two say?

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take Two told IGN, “We’re definitely interested in expanding our opportunities in sports, and FIFA has a great brand and incredible clout, but we have no current plans to discuss.”

Do you know FIFA is now called EA Sports FC?

Who will make the new FIFA game?
The new FIFA game: Who will make the new FIFA game?

Take-Two’s 2K Sports division currently has a strong sports game lineup that includes the successful NBA 2K franchise, which has sold more than 123 million copies. The WWE 2K series and PGA Tour 2K franchise are published by 2K Sports, as is a new arcade game with the NFL.

Many people are wondering whether 2K Sports may take over the FIFA business in the future, since EA no longer has the exclusive license. Zelnick said, “Well, we noticed [that the FIFA license is up for grabs] and we tend to be thoughtful about our business at all times.” He added: “We’re excited about building out our sports business and we don’t have much else to say at the moment.”
