Google I/O is one of the company’s most important developer events of the year. It’s where Google has unveiled Android upgrades and some of its hardware in the past. COVID has affected the event in the past years, but Google still did them online. However, this one will be held in person, somewhat. Only a few Google employees will be there in person, while everyone else will have to view it via webcast.

May 11, 2022, is the start date for Google I/O 2022, which will take place until May 12. What will be announced at Google I/O 2022?
As for what to anticipate, Google is widely expected to share news on all of its operating systems at I/O, including Android, Wear OS, and ChromeOS. Naturally, as it did with Android 12 the year before and Android 11 before that, Google is anticipated to reveal the significant features of Android 13 this year during its keynote. Apart from the Pixel Watch, we anticipate the Pixel 6a to be revealed as a less expensive yet equally capable Pixel 6 version. In April, CEO Sundar Pichai said:
“Pixel 6 is a huge step forward for the Pixel portfolio. And it’s been great to see the response from Pixel users. It’s the fastest-selling Pixel ever. And we are building broad consumer awareness of the brand and making good progress. I’m excited about the products we have coming and look forward to sharing more at Google I/O,”
Finally, the firm is expected to make news regarding its ChromeOS and Nest Hub platforms At Google I/O 2022. The company is promoting bigger screens for Android 13, and the ChromeOS platform is its most developed big-screen platform. Meanwhile, rumors of a Nest Hub release in 2022 continue to persist, so there’s that as well.
