Do you want a free Nvidia RTX 3090? Nvidia’s Graphics Technology Conference (GTC) is coming up, and this year promises to be even more exciting than usual. During the event, Nvidia stated that it will distribute GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards signed by CEO Jensen Huang.

This year’s GTC begins on March 21 and will run until March 24. The event will feature some virtual sessions, but it will also include in-person workshops in San Jose, California. The RTX 3090 is the Nvidia graphics card that will be given away at the event. It’s uncertain whether participants must attend both the physical and virtual keynotes, but it’s likely that they do.

Free Nvidia RTX 3090’s in GTC

At GTC 2022, Nvidia is giving away at least eight Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards in a raffle, all of them autographed by the CEO of Nvidia himself. It would make sense for Nvidia to offer the RTX 3090 Ti as a prize following the event, but the RTX 3090 is a more budget-friendly option that will still provide excellent performance.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090: Specs, price, and release date

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 sports 10,496 CUDA cores, a boosted clock of 1.7GHz, and a whopping 24GB of GDDR6X memory on a 384-bit memory bus. The upcoming RTX 3090 Ti will outperform its precursor by at least 6%, but we’re talking about improving something that is already exceptional in terms of performance margins. The new flagship is expected to feature the full GA102 GPU and 24GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory, which means it will need a significant amount of power. Future RTX 3090 Ti owners could require a super-sized power supply with a capacity of more than 1,000 watts, according to some leaks.

In a world in which the vast majority of people do not have access to such a device, the fact that some fortunate individuals will receive a highly coveted Nvidia graphics card is rather odd. The conference has a significant focus on AI technology that utilizes computer graphics, as well as machine learning, autonomous machines and trucks, data science, and Nvidia’s Omniverse. This implies that the conference is unlikely to feature many gaming-related discussions, and Nvidia’s RTX Ampere GPUs are available for workstation PCs.

Jensen Huang has signed graphics card boxes for Nvidia, so while we don’t know how many will be given away, it’s certain that Nvidia has prepared the prizes for the select few winners. The RTX 3090 Ti is most likely going to be released on March 29th, so Nvidia will have a hectic end of the month. The price has not been revealed yet.
