If you don’t know how to find videos sent to you on WhatsApp, we are going to help you out. Every WhatsApp user knows that it’s possible to share videos and images with a contact or group. But as time goes by our smartphones’ gallery gets filled up with dozens of videos. If you want to find a specific video sent by a friend or group but can’t manage to do it there are some methods you can use. Just keep reading!

How to find videos sent to you on WhatsApp?

It’s not difficult to find files on WhatsApp, and you can quickly and simply locate those videos, images, or audio messages that were sent to you several weeks ago by following these steps:

  • Open WhatsApp on your phone
  • Access the chat or group in which you want to search for a video
  • Click on the group name
  • Click on the section called “Files, links, and docs”
  • Three tabs will be displayed: Files, links, and docs.
  • In the files tab, you can search for photos and videos.

The photos and videos will be organized in chronological order, making the search much simpler if you know when the video in question was sent to you. It should be noted that if at any time you have deleted the video from the chat itself, it will no longer appear in the Files tab.

If the video or picture appears blurry and does not load, this indicates that the image is still in the conversation but the phone is unable to download the file.

How to access WhatsApp videos on Android?

There’s an alternative method you can use in Android for finding videos and other multimedia files that are saved in the default directory. The path to their location is SdCard/WhatsApp/Media/.

On Android, when we open the WhatsApp app and click on the search button, we can filter by file type rather than searching for specific messages or media files in particular chats or groups.

How to access WhatsApp videos on iPhone?

On an iPhone as soon as we enter the WhatsApp application and click on the top where the search section is located, we will see a drop-down menu where we can find videos, photos, GIFs, links, documents, and audio recordings that have been sent to us.

By default, the images and videos you receive in the application are automatically saved in the Photos folder of your iPhone in WhatsApp folder. There you can also find the videos that are sent to you.
