Shazam has launched an extension for Chrome users that may be used to identify the song playing in a web tab. The plugin is available on the Chrome web store and it can be pinned in the same manner as any other extension. The download is completely free, and it also allows you to look up artists, lyrics, and videos. Every month, Shazam matches one billion songs according to the company.
Shazam is now a Chrome extension
When you click on the Shazam extension next to the URL bar, you will see a tiny pop-up window that says “Click to Shazam.” To access the app, go to the tab that is playing a song and hit the Shazam button in the extension. The music recognition feature will take 3-5 seconds to identify the song you’re listening to.
The Shazam extension also keeps track of all the songs you have searched for before. Also, there’s a special button for Apple Music users to listen to the whole track without logging in. If you want to see the lyrics or music videos, you’ll need a membership.
How to download the Shazam extension for Chrome?
Downloading the Shazam extension is pretty easy on Chrome browser, you just need to follow a series of steps:
- On your PC, open the Google Chrome browser.
- Go to the Chrome web store on your browser.
- In the search bar, type in ‘Shazam.’
- Select ‘Shazam’.
- Click on the ‘Add to Chrome’ button.
Then, when you’ve installed the tool, it should be in the extensions area. You may use it at any time by tapping on the symbol.
