If you want to buy a new TV there are some things you need to be careful about. Today we will list what you should pay attention to when buying a new TV.

There are many problems when you shop for a new TV. The biggest problem is there are so many choices! Let’s see the most important features you need to be attentive to.

3 things you need to know when buying a TV in 2022

Don’t buy a TV that doesn’t offer 4K or HDR

Don’t buy a television if it cannot deliver a 4K resolution and display HDR.

To help you decide if a 4K TV is right for you, you need to understand exactly what 4K means. It’s not just a higher number. It’s a much sharper, more detailed picture than standard full HD provides.

HDR, on the other hand, refers to a high dynamic range of colors. This gives movies, TV shows, and games that support it a sharper contrast between bright and dark areas and allows them to look more vivid than ever before.

OLED or LCD?

Many people are asking if they should opt for LCD or OLED panels when buying a new TV.

Liquid crystal display (or LCD) technology has been the standard for almost all devices with screens for the last 20 years. But, if you want the best picture quality, look for a TV with an OLED panel.

An LCD TV has backlights to illuminate each pixel, whereas pixels on an OLED TV are independently lit.

The end result is that OLED TVs are often superior to their LCD counterparts, and they’re also typically more expensive.

If you can’t afford it though, LCD TVs are still great options, no feel no shame!

HDMI 2.1

The PS5 and Xbox Series X support high frame-rate options for certain games, making them the ultimate choice for anyone who wants the very best gaming experience.

This means you’ll need a TV with a refresh rate of at least 120Hz.

You can find the refresh rate of your TV easily by looking it up on the back of the box or going to the website of the manufacturer.

If your TV has an HDMI 2.1 port, you should be able to enjoy ultra-smooth 120 FPS gaming with a resolution of 4k or higher. Not to mention, you also need an HDMI 2.1 cable.
