Microsoft has teamed up with Gucci to produce a garish and insanely expensive variant of the Gucci Xbox Series X.
The console features a laser-cut monogram pattern that Gucci enthusiasts will undoubtedly recognize. The GG motif refers to both the designers’ initials and the phrase “Good Game,” according to Gucci.
Gucci Xbox Series X: High price, good design
The console is packaged in a Gucci-inspired suitcase, or, to be more precise, a fancy piece of vintage Gucci luggage. The case contrasts the company’s typical designs, except for some bright green text reading “XBOX” on one side and “GOOD GAME” on the other. It will divide opinions; it’s a little odd, but then again so is the price tag.
The Xbox One S includes two controllers with blue and red stripes that are reminiscent of the House’s internet. The actual contents of the container are considerably more subtle than the carry case.
The Gucci Xbox Series X will be released on November 17th, 2021 in a limited edition of 100. The asking price is $10,000 per unit, and each console is numerically labeled on the chassis.
