Reactions are coming “soon” to WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is the most popular and used messaging application in the world and despite this, the number of updates it receives can be counted on one’s fingers. This is the reason why when we hear that the developers of the application are working on new features we get so happy.
The latest we have learned thanks to the portal WABetainfo, is that WhatsApp will allow us to reply through reactions to messages sent to us. A feature that many other messaging applications already have and as we all know, WhatsApp is always behind the competition.
In case there is still some cluelessness in the room, the reactions are nothing more than a response in the form of emoji to a message received. More or less what we can do in Facebook Messenger, Signal, and even Twitter. If they send us something funny we can react with a happy face, if it is something sad with a crying face or if it is something we don’t like, with an angry face. The idea is simple but effective as it allows us to save time in responses.
According to WABetainfo, the exact date of the update is unknown. As if that were not enough, it is also unknown how these reactions will look like since they are apparently in a very early stage of development. In other words, the reactions are going to be around for a long time, so forget about an update in the next few months.
While it seems that we will have to wait for the reactions, we can not say the same for the version of WhatsApp for iPad and Android tablets, which apparently its launch will be imminent. This will allow us to use our WhatsApp account on multiple devices, something that users have been asking for years.
