Google allows you to record calls in its phone app, but this feature doesn’t seem to be available to all users at the moment.

Maybe at first the idea of recording a call is something easy to dismiss, but what is the point of doing that? The truth is that for a lot, all calls made with companies are usually recorded.

The reason for recording conversations is to have plausible proof in case it is needed. This sound record serves to record agreements or access to services, even as a reminder of what was said.

In Android, there are many applications to record calls, but some of them do not end up doing their job well or do not give enough confidence to use them. Few phones have this feature as standard.

Google had not made a move in this regard in a long time and it seems that now the decision it has taken is more serious. Google’s phone application will allow you to record calls, although there is a trick to this.

The new feature has been discovered by a Twitter user on his Google Pixel 4a. When making a call he realized that there was the option to record that call, in addition to the fact that this feature had its settings.

Google has not made any comment about this new feature and it would be quite interesting if it would explain why some users in a particular country have this possibility, while others do not.

At the moment it seems that Google’s phone app can record calls, but that it depends more on the region you are in. We will have to wait for Google to release some kind of statement or for the application to be updated and allow this to be done.
