Stories have become popular on most social platforms. And TikTok doesn’t want to be left out of this trend. TikTok has already confirmed that it is already running the first tests of what will be simply called ”TikTok Stories.”
Stories will soon be coming to TikTok
Most social platforms already have “Stories” among their features. Although they don’t always work as expected, as is the case with Twitter. Fleets, Twitter’s version of Stories, has failed to take off and will no longer be available.
But in most cases, this format excites users and increases interaction on the platform. So TikTok also wants to try its luck with its version of Stories.
As they mention in The Verge, the social media giant has confirmed that Stories are already being tested on the platform. And we can even see an example, of what TikTok is preparing, in the screenshots shared by Matt Navarra on his Twitter account.

As you can see in the images, it follows the same dynamic we already know. Short videos disappear after 24 hours and are automatically displayed one after another, following the order uploaded by the user. TikTok presents it as a “new way to interact with your fans” and by simply clicking on “Create Story”, users can create their story of the day to share with their followers.
Let’s remember that TikTok has a lot of tools and functions to create different types of creative content. So Stories are not intended to replace any of the existing features, but to give users more options.
TikTok has not given too many details about this test, but it seems that it is being tested with a group of users outside the U.S. We will have to see if they intend to launch Stories officially soon, or if this year will only be dedicated to the testing stage.
