This new YouTube Music feature includes a list of the latest plays of the searches we have performed.
Google continues to improve the functionality of the mobile application of its music streaming service, YouTube Music, and after recently including an automatic playlist with the latest songs we have listened to, it has just integrated direct playback from search in the app for Android.
YouTube Music has just included a new feature to continue competing on equal terms with Spotify: the playback of songs from the app’s search.
Last March, the American giant began testing music playback from the online search of the YouTube Music mobile app, although it withdrew it shortly thereafter. Now, this new feature is available to all users of the app on both iOS and Android.
Thus, when performing a search on YouTube Music, it will show us the song we are looking for just below a list with search suggestions. In each song that is displayed in the search will appear both the cover and the artist’s name and from the menu located on the right and identified with three vertical dots we can also start the radio of this song, put it in the queue, add it to a playlist and share it. Clicking on it will immediately open the playback screen.
In addition, when we access the YouTube Music search we will see a list with the latest reproductions of the searches we have made at the top of the application so that we can listen to them again quickly and easily.
In addition, Google has also improved the YouTube Music search interface with a bar with more rounded corners and a voice search icon located to the right of the bar.
Finally, it should be noted that this new feature only allows us to locate and play songs instantly and not to do the same with artists, albums, or playlists.
