The global deployment of Clubhouse for Android is imminent. Expanding on what we mentioned a few days ago, there are already definitive dates to get the application from Google Play.
A limited selection of countries will receive access to the official download of the application in the first few days, and then gradually extend the scope to reach global coverage by the end of the week.
The next few days are very important for Clubhouse’s plans soon. Through its Twitter account, the social audio messaging platform confirmed its final schedule for the official release of its Android app.

Clubhouse for Android will be available in Brazil, Japan, and Russia starting this Tuesday, May 18. India and Nigeria will follow on Friday, May 21. The remaining days of the weekend should be the corresponding days for the rest of the countries.
Despite the expansion of this app to a new market, it is worth remembering that Clubhouse keeps the registration of users limited only to those people who arrive with an invitation.
This opening to an eventually wider audience would be accompanied by the implementation of new tools for content creators, such as exclusive rooms for creators, paid events, and subscriptions.
This move would seal Clubhouse’s leap to Android. This situation reminds us of the beginnings of Instagram, which after two years of exclusivity for iPhone, launched an Android version of its app in 2012.
In this case, the expansion has been considerably faster. The interesting thing will be to observe from now on what direction this network takes to gain a foothold in a medium in which more social networks have expressed interest in this same communication format.
Clubhouse still has some weaknesses. For example, in terms of accessibility, it does not provide access to tools such as automatic subtitles or other types of guidance for the hearing impaired. As the application is still in the process of evolution and consolidation, it could make a difference if it implements solutions of this kind in the future.
In the meantime, we can wait for the official arrival of the app by registering early on Google Play.
