It looks like Netflix is experimenting with a new service called N-plus that offers insider access to exclusive content like personalized playlists, podcasts, and behind-the-scenes footage.
The company describes this platform as a “future online space where you can learn more about the Netflix shows you love and anything related to them.”
Netflix is testing a new service called N-Plus
The questions in the survey are about all sorts of interesting features. Things like a user being able to create playlists of their favorite shows and also being allowed to share those playlists online with friends, much like a streaming music service.
And, speaking of music, N-Plus is also experimenting with the idea of listing all the music from a TV show and allowing users to create playlists from there.
Another feature is the ability of N-Plus to affect the development of a show. In their survey, Netflix asked users how they would feel about offering a way to learn about an upcoming show and influence its development (in pre-production) by offering feedback before they finish filming it.
But at the moment we don’t know when these features will come to reality. It sounds a bit like Amazon Prime Video‘s X-ray, but Netflix is thinking about something much more loaded with possibilities.
